Kentucky Gives DAy

Kentucky Gives Day is an annual, statewide online giving event that connects generous individuals with the causes they care about most. At the GO Center, it’s a powerful 24 hours of impact. Each year in May, we invite our supporters to donate, share, and help us reach new milestones as we raise funds to expand our vocational training, day services, and employment programs. It’s a chance to show up for the adults we serve and send a clear message that every person deserves the chance to grow, work, and belong. With your help, one day of giving becomes a year of progress.
Farm to table

The Farm to Table Dinner is our signature summer event and one of the most beloved evenings in Bardstown. Guests enjoy an elegant, open-air dining experience featuring fresh, locally sourced dishes prepared by talented chefs who care deeply about their community. From handcrafted courses to live music and meaningful conversation, the night is designed to bring people together in celebration of good food and a great cause. Every ticket sold directly supports the Guthrie Opportunity Center’s mission to create meaningful employment and life-enriching programs for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. It’s more than a meal — it’s a statement of support for inclusion, purpose, and community-driven progress.
FESTIVAL OF TREES

In past years, our Festival of Trees event has been a magical kickoff to the holiday season — and a joyful fundraiser that lights up more than just rooms. Each year, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and holiday displays are created and donated by local businesses, artists, and community members. These one-of-a-kind pieces are showcased at the GO Center and auctioned off to raise funds for our programs. Guests are invited to tour the displays, bid on their favorites, and soak in the festive spirit — all while supporting life-changing services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. It’s a celebration of creativity, generosity, and the power of community during the most wonderful time of the year.

In 2025, we are pausing the Festival of Trees event to take a look at some exciting new opportunities to best showcase our mission, participants and event space.
